    Over a curated lunch featuring standout recipes from the book, Thi will share the stories behind the dishes and the journey that brought them to the page.

    We are heading over to Books for Cooks on Monday 12 May for a chat with the inimitable Tim about Thi’s newly released book, Viet Kieu: Recipes remembered from Vietnam.

  • Dinner in Sydney

    Baba’s so proud of the Vietnamese granddaughter, so she is heading to Baba’s Place in Sydney to cook dinner for Baba.

    Author-chef-restauranteur (Yes, Baba is very proud) Thi Le will be in the house, working the pans, slinging tales and signing books. We are throwing a book launch the only way we know how: loud, proud, and family-style.

Who is Thi Le?

Thi Le is a Melbourne-based chef-restauranteur of Vietnamese descent. She runs Anchovy, a restaurant in inner city Richmond, known as a flavor powerhouse that is often recognised for its innovation as well as advocacy of Vietnamese cuisine and techniques. She trained in European kitchens before forging out in 2015 to establish herself in Australia’s cosmopolitan and layered culinary scene. Alongside Anchovy, she runs a wood-fired banh mi shop with her partner, in life and business, J.Y.

Thi is the best regarded voice in Vietnamese cookery and techniques in Australia today.
